Unlike other business coupon services like Groupon, LivingSocial, etc., Locals First is exclusively for locally owned, small businesses.  And there is no cost for PDMA members to participate.  This is just our small effort to help sustain a thriving local economy in Potrero Hill and Dogpatch.

I stopped in to the Wine House to use my 20% off Locals First offer from July, and was helped by friendly staff pointing me to a nice gift bottle of sparkling wine. But what i really loved was discovering that the Wine House offers a killer deal every month -- $109 for a mixed case. I'm using Nita at Winning Colors to paint my 2nd bedroom. Thanks to the Merchants and Locals First I got 20% off and a great paint job. I've been thinking about painting that room for months now and getting that newsletter motivated me to get it done.

We took advantage of the October Locals First deal at Serpentine (our favorite dogpatch restaurant). We enjoyed the most wonderful, inventive meal there along with great cocktails and terrific wines and received 25% off the second entree!
